We invite you to discover or to relive Tourbière, a performance by Mélissa Simard presented during the Geopoetics vernissage that was held June 11 at Stewart Hall.
Through a silent and impressionistic ritual, a woman finds embedded in the ground traces of past lives that bind us to the earth, nature and history. The performer creates a poetic vision where she addresses questions about the exploitation of natural resources, the metaphoric link between the female body and earth, the unconscious and memory both collective and intimate, forged among the landscapes from recalled memories.
